Iguazu Travel Guide: Hotels

There are a number of hotels to choose from in Puerto Iguazu, ranging from the moderate Hotel Saint George, to the Hotel Cataratas and the expensive Sheraton Internacional Iguazu, which is the only hotel located in the park itself; all of which offer different and unique experiences. If you want to stay on the Brazilian side, the larger town of Foz do Iguacu has equivalent accommodations in terms of comfort, and due to its size, a livelier night life.

The Sheraton Iguazu is the only hotel inside the Iguazu National Park , and offers its guests a truly memorable stay. The hotel is walking distance from the main attractions of the park, including La Garganta del Diablo (the devil’s throat), and therefore is the best combination of convenience and luxury. Most of its 176 rooms feature balconies offering spectacular views, high speed internet access, cable television, cribs, and tasteful, relaxing decor. The restaurant, Garganta del Diablo (more details below), offers a great view of its namesake as well as live entertainment and excellent international cuisine. There is also a buffet and cocktail bar, and a poolside bar offering snacks and light fare. The hotel’s spa is state of the art, with Vichy shower, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, fully equipped gym, facilities for yoga and Pilates, and spacious Zen gardens.
