Day 1 : Arrival to El Chalten

• Upon arrival  to El Chalten, you will be greeted at the station by an Argentina For Less representative who will take you to your confirmed El Chalten hotel.
• Spend the remainder of the day relaxing at your hotel or exploring the city on your own.

Day 2 : Viedma Glacier Boat Cruise & Trek

• Spend a full day exploring majestic glaciers and magical landscapes on your Patagonia tour. Bright and early you’ll be taken the dock at Tunnel Bay to catch your 9:00 a.m. boat, which will take you on an hour-long cruise across scenic Lake Viedma.
• You will reach a rocky promontory at the edge of the glacier, debark, put on your crampons, and begin trekking across the surreal landscape of the largest glacier in Los Glaciares National Park.
• After the glacier walking tour, you will return to the boat for an up close view of the dramatic blue-tinted 180-foot glacier walls.
• You will continue on to Bahia Los Témpanos where you will have an opportunity to relax and eat your lunch before taking another 45-minute guided hike to the Peninsula Ventisquero.
• From there, you’ll take the boat back to Tunnel Bay and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure in picturesque El Chalten.

Torre Glacier Ice Trekking Tour

This moderately challenging full day hike takes you past Laguna Torre and all the way to the Torre Glacier. Early in the morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to the trailhead. The start of the trail is easy, and you will cross glacier moraines and the Tirolesa River. From there on, you’ll be hooked to a harness and ropes, and led by a certified mountain guide every step of the way on this rugged, beautiful Patagonian terrain.

You will have lunch at the base of the glacier before your ascension. To climb the glacier, you’ll gear up in crampons. You will cross crevasses and climb an ice wall with pick axes before returning down the same trail and heading back to El Chalten. This trek and climbing experience is open to beginners and experienced trekkers alike.

Laguna Torre Trek

This fairly easy day hike takes the Lodge El Pilar trekking route to Laguna Torre. In the morning you will be taken from your hotel to the trailhead. After an hour of hiking, you will reach the beautiful lookout point of Cerro Torre and the Adela range. From here you will walk for another two hours until you reach the spectacular Laguna Torre. You can rest near the lake and enjoy lunch (not included), before making your way back along the same trail. After your hike, you will be taken back to your hotel in El Chalten.

Laguna Capri Short Trek

This easy half day hike is perfect for those who want to experience the amazing trek routes surrounding El Chalten but only have limited time. Your trip begins in the morning after breakfast at your hotel where you will meet your guide and be taken to the trailhead. You will follow the Lodge El Pilar route to the Rio Blanco Valley, where you will be able to catch sight of the majestic Piedras Blancas Glacier. After an hour and a half of trekking, you will be rewarded with terrific views of Monte Fitz Roy. Only a short distance off the main trail lies the pristine Laguna Capri, enveloped in woods.

Lago del Desierto Tour

This half day tour takes you across the beautiful Lago del Desierto aboard a catamaran, giving you the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful landscape from a different perspective. After sailing along the shore to admire the coastline, you’ll arrive on the other side near the Gendarmería National station where you will leave the boat for a short hike to the top of a nearby hill. From here, you will enjoy stunning panoramic views of the entire lake and Mount Fitz Roy. You’ll then make your way back to the catamaran and take another boat trip back across the lake. Scenic Fitz Roy & Laguna de los Tres Trek

This full day tour starts with an 8:30 a.m. pick up at your hotel. Your guide will drive you to the trailhead, and on the way you’ll stop at a scenic lookout point for a great view of the mountain Fitz Roy, which looms from 6,560 feet (2,000 meters). You’ll spend the first hour and a half of your hike traveling through the White River valley and its forests of beech trees. You’ll pass a great view point of the Piedras Blancas Glacier on the way before reaching the White River crossing where you may choose to continue hiking up to the lookout Laguna de los Tres for unparallel views of the lagoon and Fitz Roy. You will then continue your hike for a short time to reach your destination where great views of the strikingly blue Sucia Lagoon, surrounded by jagged peaks, will unfold before you. After your trek, you will be taken back to your hotel in El Chalten, arriving around 5:30 p.m.
