Chillan Chile

Situated 1,650 meters above sea level, Chillán has 28 runs, all well groomed and maintained they make up 35 km in a ski area of 10,000 hectares. With 9 lifts (one triple seat, three double seats and five surface lifts), it has the longest run in South America, at 13kms. The thermal center has nine blue-water pools, which are open all year round. With many beautiful natural attractions, summer here offers visitors a recreational and relaxing retreat.

ACCESS ROUTES
Chillan is located at 300 mi / 485 km south of Santiago and can be reached only by road.
ACCOMMODATION
There is plenty of accommodation in Chillan, the best hotels are the Gran Hotel Termas de Chillan, Hotel Robledal, and Hotel Pirigallo.
WHEN TO GO
All year round. Ski season is between 15th of June and the 15th of October.

During the city tour, you will visit the new cathedral, a nice market, a park and a mural dedicated to O'Higgins.

Laja Falls:

A tour to the impressive Laja Falls (45 mi/70 km south), where water plunges about 250 ft / 75 m into a rocky gorge is an amazing experience and one well worth taking.
